Welcome to the Internet presence of my translation company, FRECH Language Services! I would like to introduce myself by telling you about my area of expertise, the services I offer, and myself:

I am specialized in the area of law and, thus, in translating legal texts and the linguistic review of contracts, judgments, and legal briefs. As a duly sworn translator for English, sworn in by the President of the District Court Frankfurt am Main (vom Präsidenten des Landgerichts Frankfurt am Main allgemein ermächtigte Übersetzerin), in addition to the actual translations into German or English, I also provide sworn translations and translations with Apostilles or Legalizations.

In addition to the translation of legal texts, I also proof-read and review German and English texts as a native speaker of both German and English. Upon request, I can also prepare, optimize or take over the written or oral communication with German or English speaking contractual partners, lawyers or agencies. I also provide language classes (one-on-one or in small groups) in your law firm or company.

A few words about me and why you should enlist me for legal translations and linguistic reviews: I am a translator, state certified by the State of Hesse for German and English, specialized in law (vom Land Hessen staatlich geprüfte Übersetzerin für die englische Sprache im Fachgebiet Rechtswesen). I was raised bilingually (mother American, father German) and have university language degrees both from Germany (Masters of Arts in Germanics and Romance Languages) and the U.S.A. (Bachelor of Arts in German and French). In addition to my language degrees, my LL.M. in Business Law gives me a university degree in law which compliments my language skills with sound legal expertise.

Upon request, all of the documents I have worked on can be reviewed by a lawyer who is certified both in Germany and England / Wales (“Rechtsanwalt” and Solicitor) using the four-eye principle. I have been translating full-time for more than 15 years for various large law firms and international companies, both as an employee and since 2012 freelance. Even though I have a U.S. background I will be happy to write in British English if so desired.
