Area of Expertise & Services
In the scope of my daily work I have specialized in the area of law. In particular, this includes the translation and linguistic review of the following types of documents:
- all types of contracts,
- General Terms and Conditions,
- official and notarial deeds (e.g. birth certificates or drivers licenses),
- degrees (e.g. high school diplomas, university degrees, state exams),
- court or arbitral tribunal decisions and settlements,
- official correspondence,
- legal briefs, opinions and expert opinions,
- out of court legal communication.
Specifically, I offer the following services in my area of expertise:
- Translation from German into English,
- Translation from English into German,
- Certified translations:
- As a court recognized and certified translator, upon request, I can place my stamp under a translation and thus certify its correctness. This is often required by German courts and public authorities.
- Certified translations with Apostilles / Legalizations:
- In addition to a certified translation, foreign / international public authorities or courts may sometimes require a so-called Apostille or Legalization to be placed upon the certified translation. This is a certification of the authenticity of my signature and that I am a court certified translator. I will gladly arrange to have this done for you by the District Court Frankfurt am Main (Landgericht Frankfurt am Main).
- Proof-reading / native-language review, optimization and revision (German and English) of legal and other texts,
- Four-eye principle by a lawyer certified both in Germany and England / Wales (“Rechtsanwalt” and Solicitor),
- Formatting texts:
- Upon request, you will not only receive a translation of the text but also a document with the same formatting as the text of origin.
- Preparation of written and oral communication with German and English speaking public authorities and lawyers,
- English and German language classes for law firms, legal departments or companies, either as one-on-one classes or in small groups,
- Interpretation (not sworn).
I am obliged to maintain complete secrecy and discretion in regards to your documents and all work will be dealt with confidentially. Upon request, of course your documents will be secured on my computer according to the most up-to-date encryption technology (AES encryption standard with a key size of 256 Bit).
